Maths - Measurement -

Task Description: For this task I had to place the units in the right order, then convert the larger units to smaller units. Then I had to find out the answers to the questions, Nesi made 2.5L of juice for half-time in her netball game. How many ml is that? Kauri bought 1.2 kg of popcorn for his sleepover. How many g is this? Jarreka bought different containers of water. How many ml does each contain? Mr Shaw measured some lengths for his building project at PES. Convert them all to mm. For the last activity I had to Look at these specials from this week at COUNTDOWN. Then I had to pick 5 things for my shopping list and name them, then I had to record the measurement of each item. Then I had to convert each measure to a different unit I could do bigger or smaller. Lastly I had to find out how much it would cost all together.

  1. Kia ora Madison,
Great job with your Maths work this week - you can convert larger to smaller units that measure capacity, length and mass (weight). Nice work with your 'shopping' list - converting each of your 5 items to a different units and keeping the total under $20! Take a quick look at the measurement UNITS for the story on Slide 2 and recheck ALL of the units make sense. Keep up the hard work Madison!
